MySunDirection — an initiative by MYLINEHUB
Privacy Policy
A project begins with a conversation. We want you to understand what information may be received when you contact MySunDirection, why it is used, who may need access, and what choices and rights you have.
The public website currently has no customer-account database or online checkout. A website contact action may open WhatsApp, where your message goes to WhatsApp and to the business you contact. Technical website logs and project correspondence may still involve personal information. We will not claim that no information is collected.
01Who is responsible for your information
MySunDirection — an initiative by MYLINEHUB. MYLINEHUB is the parent business operating this solar engineering and retrofit initiative. In this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean MYLINEHUB acting through MySunDirection. The full applicable legal and billing details for any paid project will be identified in its written proposal, invoice or agreement.
This policy concerns mysundirection.com and information received through its published communication channels. A separately contracted service may have additional notices or obligations that will be identified when applicable.
02Where the policy applies
It applies when you visit the public website, select a contact link, speak with us, request an assessment or quotation, send a site photograph or document, take part in a site visit, or become a customer under a separate Project Agreement.
When you leave this website for WhatsApp, a social-media site or another external service, that provider also processes information under its own policies. This policy cannot replace the independent provider's privacy notice.
03Information we may receive
Depending on what you choose to share, the information may include:
- Contact and identity: your name, phone number, email address, business affiliation and communication preferences.
- Enquiry details: messages, questions, requested services, project status, quotation requirements and correspondence.
- Site information: installation address, roof and equipment photographs, drawings, equipment specifications, system capacity, observations, energy-performance information, and site-access details.
- Contract information: proposals, approvals, invoices, payment confirmations, delivery records, support requests and project documentation if you enter an agreement.
- Technical information: device/browser characteristics, network or IP information, requested URLs, timestamps, error events and access/security logs that may be processed by the website host.
We ask you not to send identification documents, passwords, bank credentials or other sensitive personal information through public enquiry channels unless a legitimate purpose has been explained and an appropriate collection method has been agreed.
04Website forms and public browsing
As configured in this website version, the public contact interaction can prepare a message locally and open an external WhatsApp conversation. The website does not operate a general visitor account database, and it does not offer an online checkout. Fields typed into a locally prepared message are not represented as an upload to our website server merely because they are typed.
When you send the message through WhatsApp, however, WhatsApp and the receiving business may process and retain that message and associated account information. Do not assume that information shared in a conversation is temporary or anonymous.
Website hosting and infrastructure providers may independently generate operational or security logs of requests to the website.
05Why information may be used
We may use information as appropriate to respond to an enquiry; understand technical requirements; arrange inspections or meetings; review site feasibility; prepare estimates, designs and agreements; source or deliver agreed Parts and services; communicate about project progress; provide support; administer invoices; protect systems; comply with law; and manage genuine disputes.
We should not use contact details for unrelated promotional campaigns merely because a customer requested a quotation. Any optional marketing must follow the applicable consent and communication rules, with an effective way to opt out where required.
06Consent and other lawful grounds
We process personal information only when there is an appropriate ground under the privacy law that applies to the activity. Depending on the circumstances and the applicable provisions in force, this may involve a clear consent request, a permitted purpose recognized by law, meeting a legal obligation, or handling an expressly requested service.
Where processing is based on consent, withdrawal may be requested through the published contact channel, subject to information that must or may lawfully be retained for other purposes. Withdrawal cannot undo processing lawfully completed before the request.
07Who may have access
Information may be shared on a need-to-know basis with authorized MYLINEHUB personnel; specialists and engineers appointed for a particular assessment; installation or delivery partners engaged under the agreed scope; payment or accounting service providers where needed; website/communication service providers; and authorities where legally required.
We do not authorize independent contractors to use project photographs, contact details or drawings for their unrelated purposes merely because they have received access for a project. The applicable contract should include appropriate confidentiality and data-handling duties.
Where a third-party provider determines its own purpose of processing, it may act under its own privacy terms. We do not sell personal information to advertisers as a described business practice of this website.
08Cookies, browser storage and hosting
The current landing page states that it does not intentionally load advertising or analytics cookies. The site may remember a cookie-banner choice using browser local storage on your device. You can clear local storage in your browser settings; doing so may cause the preference prompt to appear again.
The website requests fonts from Google Fonts, and its hosting environment may provide or inject technical performance and security functionality. Google, hosting providers and other external services may receive technical request information according to their practices.
If new analytics, advertising tags, cookies, account systems or third-party forms are introduced, this notice and any necessary consent mechanism must be reviewed before they are enabled. This policy does not claim that every third-party network request is under our exclusive control.
09Roof photographs, recordings and project materials
Images, videos, site drawings and location information provided for a project may reveal private property or individuals. Please share only information you are authorized to provide, and inform people or property owners when permission is required.
Project material may be used for feasibility, engineering, quotation, delivery, evidence of site condition and support. We do not claim an automatic unrestricted right to publish identifiable photographs of your home, location or personnel for marketing. Such use should follow an appropriate permission or other lawful basis.
10How long information is kept
Retention depends on what the information is used for. Unsuccessful enquiries need not be kept as long as records supporting a project, invoice, warranty, dispute, legal obligation or security investigation. We will assess whether each category remains needed and delete or anonymize information where appropriate and legally permissible.
This public policy does not invent a universal retention duration for all WhatsApp messages, host logs and engineering records. Retention in external platforms is also subject to their own controls. A project agreement or specific notice may state a more precise schedule where necessary.
11Security and confidentiality
We aim to use reasonable access controls, personnel restrictions, appropriate system safeguards and confidentiality arrangements in handling information relevant to our work. Access should be limited to individuals and providers who need it for an authorized purpose.
No website, internet transmission, messaging service or storage platform is guaranteed absolutely secure. In the event of a relevant breach, we will assess required steps, notifications and remediation under applicable law and contractual obligations.
12Your requests and applicable privacy rights
Depending on the applicable law and its commencement provisions, you may have rights concerning access to information about processing, correction, updating, erasure, withdrawal of consent, grievance handling and other protections. These rights may be subject to lawful exceptions such as records that must be retained.
To make a request, contact us through the published MySunDirection website or its WhatsApp contact, describing the information and request. We may need to verify your authority before changing or disclosing personal information. A formal privacy or grievance contact for a contracted project may additionally be provided in its documentation.
We will address valid requests and complaints within the applicable statutory requirements, including transitional commencement provisions where relevant.
13Service providers, geography and external platforms
Website hosting, font delivery, communications or other technology services may involve providers processing information in locations different from your own. Any transfer or disclosure must comply with the requirements that apply at the relevant time. We cannot promise that information sent through a third-party global messaging platform is processed only in India.
Please review the relevant platform's privacy information before sending information through it.
14Changes, contact and related policies
We may revise this Privacy Policy as technology, actual collection practices or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. If a change legally requires additional notice or consent, posting the document alone may not be sufficient.
See our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy and Disclaimer. For an agreed project, MYLINEHUB’s commitments and the customer’s responsibilities are set out in the relevant written project documents, subject to applicable law.
